Motion Capture Remapping

As a part of this project I was in charge of the establishing our pipeline and implementing the motion capture re mapping and cleanup within Maya using Human IK. The majority of character animation in our trailer was remapped and cleanup motion capture for which I did all the remapping and about half the cleanup.

 
 
 

Hand Animation

For our piece I was in charge of developing the motion for our monster. The process involved combining a number pieces of references of different large predator cats and wolves dragging their prey. There were also some beats we wanted to hit within the animation that wasn’t as easily possible with our accelerometer bases motion capture so for those I was had animating them.

 
 
 

Animatic

For the Final production within University we only created as teaser trailer but as a part of the pre-production I was in charge of storyboarding and creating the animatic for the full short.
